Edinburgh, Scotland has been quite high up on our list of cities we’d love to visit, and in 2019 we had the honor of visiting this historic city. From the towering Edinburgh Castle, to its variety of festivals, the capital of Scotland has plenty to offer! When we were looking for accommodations, we knew we wanted a place that was centrally located and within walking distance to the city’s most popular destinations. We came across Old Town Chambers and knew it was the perfect hotel for our family. This incredible hotel is located in the heart of Edinburgh’s historic Old Town, offering guests an unforgettable experience with its stylish accommodations and impeccable service. Here are some reasons why Old Town Chambers is an incredible hotel to stay:
The Location
Simply put, I can’t think of a better location for accommodations in Edinburgh than Old Town Chambers. Located on High Street (about 30 minutes from Edinburgh airport), the apartments put you in the middle of the Edinburgh city center’s most popular attractions, including the Royal Mile. St Giles Cathedral is just across the street, and Edinburgh Castle is a 6-minute walk away. Just down the steps and behind the apartments, you’ll have access to the shopping areas within Princes Street, as well as the Edinburgh Waverley Train station should you wish to venture out further. There are countless restaurants, bars, and shops within 5 minutes walking, so it was the perfect location for our family!
The Apartment
If the location itself doesn’t entice you, just wait until you see the actual apartments themselves!
Unlike traditional hotels, Old Town Chambers offers a variety of unique accommodations that range from stylish apartments to luxury penthouses. Each of these accommodations has been thoughtfully designed to offer guests the ultimate in comfort and luxury, with features such as fully equipped kitchens, spacious living areas, and high-end furnishings.
We stayed in the 2 bedroom signature apartment, and it had everything we needed for a comfortable stay. The kids were welcomed with some snacks and coloring activity books, as well as bathrobes for the whole family. The apartment, aside from two spacious bedrooms (each with a king size bed), has two bathrooms, a fully stocked kitchen, dining table, and living area with a work desk. The entire apartment is beautifully decorated, with a modern sleek, yet cozy environment. To top it off, the apartment that we had included a pretty massive patio that overlooked Princes Street and gives amazing views of the iconic Scott Monument.
By staying at Old Town Chambers, you will have access to the Luckenbooths restaurant and a small boutique counter. There is also a very well-equipped gym with aerobic machines, free weights, and CrossFit equipment should you have time for a workout. You can also arrange for a personal trainer if you want to step your exercise game up!

At Old Town Chambers, the staff is dedicated to providing guests with the highest level of personalized service. From the moment you arrive, you’ll be greeted by friendly and knowledgeable staff who are happy to help you with anything you need, whether it’s recommending the best restaurants in town or helping you plan your itinerary.
